ACEF Expands Anti-Counterfeiting Award

The Anti‑Counterfeiting Educational Foundation (ACEF) has announced significant enhancements to its Alan Kreuzer Memorial Award for 2026, introducing cash stipends of between $1,500 and $2,000 alongside the award’s traditional three‑inch bronze medal. The development underscores ACEF’s commitment to supporting those who work tirelessly to protect the numismatic community from fraud.

The award recognises individuals who have made notable volunteer contributions to combating counterfeit coins and related material. Chandra Kreuzer Rudd, daughter of the late Alan Kreuzer, emphasised the importance of this work, noting that fraudulent coins erode both market confidence and cultural heritage. Her longstanding support has been instrumental; a $50,000 donation in 2017 helped establish the task force that later evolved into ACEF, and her continued contributions fund the annual award.
