Discussing and Discovering the Future of Numismatics at WMF 2025

The 2025 World Money Fair (WMF) opened its doors to thousands of visitors earlier this year. Held 30 January to 1 February, the Fair welcomed over 13,600 visitors and more than 300 exhibitors from 50 nations to the annual event held in Berlin, Germany.

Commemorating a century of the gold Vreneli 

The Swissmint was the Guest of Honour at this year’s event, where it presented an exclusive anniversary edition of its 100 franc gold coin to mark a century of the Swiss gold Vreneli coin. The 1925 gold Vreneli has been touted as Switzerland’s ‘largest and most beautiful coin’, although just 5,000 were minted originally. Over 1,000 of these were later melted down, with surviving coins worth a significant amount at auction.
