Keynote Speaker Announced for MDC 2025

The 32nd Mint Directors Conference (MDC) is scheduled to take place from 27-29 April in Cape Town, South Africa. The event, co-hosted by the South African Mint Company, aims to explore the fusion of traditional minting practices with modern technological advancements.

In keeping with this theme, Doug Vining, a renowned futurist and technology strategist, has been announced as the keynote speaker for event. Vining's career and experience spans business strategy and emerging technologies, including as a current partner at Futureworld. His expertise encompasses digital strategies, fractal organizations, and forward-looking innovations.

The keynote address is titled ‘Future World Presentation: Create Tomorrow Together (Technology Innovation Acceleration)’ and will take place on Monday 28 April.

Outline programme published

The MDC 2025 programme will feature a range of sessions, including panel discussions on industry challenges, workshops on innovative techniques, and an awards ceremony recognising excellence in coin design and packaging.
