Comprehensive Database for Coins

Reconnaissance International, co-publisher of Coin & Mint News™, has launched DataVault™, the industry’s first dedicated, searchable online database for coins and banknotes – designed specifically for currency professionals who need fast, reliable, and up-to-date information.

DataVault features two comprehensive modules – Coins and Banknotes – offering various search parameters across every circulating coin and every commemorative banknote denomination worldwide. Users can search, sort, save, and even download data by country, denomination, design, material, security features, and more.

Each individual coin on the database has its own dedicated page containing geographical information and details about the issuing authority and currency. Coin specifications include denomination, diameter, weight, shape, edge details, special (including security) features, first and last known year of minting, and information about design changes. Details about coin materials include the composition (mono-, bi, or tri-metallic), materials used – whether plated, solid, or alloy, and which section of the coin it applies to – and type of metal used.
