New Platform Launched for Numismatists

Swiss-based Numisstaxx has launched as a new platform for the digitisation of coin collecting, providing users with the ability to digitalise and share coins easily online. Lead by Gitta Kuenker, the company aims to provide ‘a fully integrated, cutting-edge, technologically orchestrated ecosystem’ for numismatists.

Users are able to catalogue, document and archive their collections within a private digital space, utilising an access rights management system to enable them to provide individuals or organisations with access to part or all of their collections.

The company notes that digitalisation of certificates of authenticity is progressing rapidly and that it is ‘only a matter of time’ before such services become standard within the coin industry. It offers the ability to create ‘forgery-proof’ certificates of authenticity using its Coin Pass service – either as a self-directed or fully-managed service. Key information to individual coin identification is stored securely on the blockchain.
