A few recent personnel updates from The Royal Mint (TRM), SPMCIL, ACYS Lasertechnik, the South African Mint, IACA, and the Perth Mint.

Mark Loveridge, previously Director of UK Currency and Commercial Director for Sustainable Precious Metals at The Royal Mint, has become the new Business Unit Director for Precious Metals Recovery at TRM.

Honey Mamabolo has announced the end of her leadership journey at the South African Mint, following three and half years as its Managing Director. Her replacement is Lisiwe Mda, previously Managing Director of the South African Bank Note Company.

Industrial laser systems provider ACSYS Lasertechnik has announced the launch of a new Global Business Unit for Mint and Print, with Alexander Aminidis appointed as head of the new unit. According to the company, the unit ‘bundl[es] expertise in a separate business unit [and] is the logical next step towards continued benchmark setting in the coin industry in the future’.

Shri Vijay Ranjan Singh has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Security Printing & Minting Corporation of India Ltd (SPMCIL) by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, replacing Tripti Patra Ghosh.

The International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA) has elected three new members to the Board – Marie Lemay of the Royal Canadian Mint, Mary Anne Lim of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and Ben Thorpe of Glory.

First announced in August, Paul Graham, the new CEO of Gold Corporation – trading as The Perth Mint – has officially commenced his role. He replaces Jason Waters, and has background in financial and commodity markets, and government – latterly as CEO of Western Australian government home ownership assistance organisation Keystart.
