MDC Announces Second Keynote Speaker

Hosted by the Royal Canadian Mint and scheduled to take place this October, the 2023 Mint Directors Conference (MDC 2023) has announced the second keynote speaker for the programme.

Speaking on ‘Sustainability and the Importance of Social Inclusion’, Dr Farah Alibay is a French-Canadian aerospace engineer and has been working at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory since 2014.

Dr Alibay will share her insights on the importance of sustainability from her perspective as an accomplished aerospace engineer. She is currently part of the M2020 Mission, working on the Perseverance Rover which landed on Mars in 2021, which provides her with a unique view of our planet and the importance of environmental stewardship, according to the Mint.

In addition to the main programme, the RCM is also planning a series of social events for networking and to enable further discussion in a more informal setting.
