MDC 2023 Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for the Mint Directors Conference 2023, which takes place later this year, 15-18 October in Ottawa, Canada.

The Mint Directors Conference (MDC) is traditionally held every two years, but due to the COVID pandemic has not been held since the 30th event in 2018 in Seoul, South Korea. This 31st MDC is hosted by the Royal Canadian Mint and will be the first time that delegates meet in person in over five years. The event is expected to attract approximately 300 delegates including representatives from mints around the world, other professionals and stakeholders in the minting and related industries.

The programme is yet to be confirmed but will incorporate plenary and panel discussions on the topics of coinage and sustainability, plus industry workshops. Alongside the programme itself, there will be a series of social events providing opportunities for networking and further discussion in a more informal setting, including a Canadian Experience evening and gala dinner.

A tour of the Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa is scheduled post-conference, providing delegates with the opportunity to view the production facility for the Mint’s numismatic coins, medals and bullion products. The return of the popular Coin Awards has also been confirmed and will take place as part of the conference.

An early bird special delegate rate is available until 15 April 2023, with special rates for IMDA members, mints and issuers (central banks, treasury departments).
