Spain Marks Decade of Monarch

Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (FNMT-RCM), has commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Proclamation of Felipe VI – a decade since Spain’s King acceded to the country’s throne. The coin follows the commemorative released last year to honour the coming of age of the King’s eldest daughter, HRH Leonor, Princess of Asturias.© FNMT-RCM.

As with the above birthday coin, this recent anniversary commemorative is denominated as €40 and features a coloured image of the Royal Crown on the reverse. The obverse features a portrait of HM King Felipe VI.

Mintage has been set at a maximum of 1 million pieces.

Two Centuries Since Waterloo

The Royal Mint (TRM) has released a new medal titled ‘Waterloo Medal – Allied Leaders’, utilising a design originally created by Italian engraver and medallist Benedetto Pistrucci in the mid-nineteenth century.
