Perth Mint Expands Partnerships

The Perth Mint has announced two new partnerships during the month of March, with the first relating to the Mint Directors Association (MDA), and the second to numismatic platform Coiniverse.

It has joined the MDA as the association’s first Associate Member, with other current members consisting of 18 national mints around the world. These mints produce legal tender circulation coins in their respective countries and, whilst the Perth Mint stopped producing circulating currency in 1984, it does produce noncirculating legal tender coins.

The Perth Mint has also joined coin collecting platform Coiniverse as its 10th member mint, making it the first mint to join the community from the AsiaPacific region.

It ‘looks forward to connecting with collectors and coin enthusiasts across the globe. We are very excited that digitally savvy global collectors now have another way to access our coins, which are renowned for their quality, and for bringing Australian designs and craftsmanship to the world’, said the Mint’s General Manager of Minted Products, Neil Vance.
