MDA Seeks Executive Director
Originating out of the Mint Directors Conference, the Mint Directors Association (MDA) is the newly created not-for-profit incorporated association representing sovereign mints from across the globe.
Following a period of dedicated service, the Acting Executive Director, Ross MacDiarmid, has decided to retire. The Board of MDA is now seeking applications for the part-time position of Executive Director.
MDA is an association of an initial 19 member mints with strong prospects that this will grow. Its role is to promote the minting industry, facilitate the sharing of best practice in all aspects of the ’minting’ enterprise, encourage and assist members on the journey of becoming more sustainable, and to operate at the highest possible ethical standards.
The role of MDA Executive Director (ED) has been established to implement the Association’s business plan, overseen by the Board representing the MDA membership, which will originate from a biennial planning process. The business plan will be informed by information, needs and insights gained from members as well as from the ED who, having acquired research and information will present ideas, suggestions and recommendations on the future two-year program.
The anticipated workload is approximately two days per week or 100 days per year. Remuneration is $65k per annum plus approved travel related expenses.
